How Men Should Pose for Photos

Can you be a dude and pose like a champ? Of course, you can!

For some reason, a lot of men have a reputation for not looking completely natural in their photos. Awkward, clumsy, and uneasy. These are some descriptions of what men can feel like during photo sessions, if they are not models. But it doesn't have to be that way.

You can count on certain tips and tricks to bring out the best in your persona while shooting photos of yourself.

Lean Against the Wall

Think you don’t have the perfect posture? No worries! You can lean back against a wall or a support to look totally natural. You will be surprised by how easy you feel while reclining against a support.

Why not lean back against a cool auto? Great cars and men were meant to be in awesome photos after all.

No Cheesy Grins Please

An exaggerated smile may look inadvertently hilarious or just plain contrived.

Unless you have a winning flashing photogenic smile, there is no need to grin. A warm smile with do just as well in fact, better.

Power Pose

A strong posture is a surefire winner. It can make you both look and FEEL confident. Feeling confident is imperative if you want the best photos.

Keep your shoulders and head perfectly square. Keep that back absolutely straight – no slouching!

Although crossing arms might work for some, it is generally seen negatively. So, you can avoid it unless you are doing a super jaunty professional pose with arms crossed.

A strong posture can impart strength and stability to your persona and make you look AND feel better.
