Now that you have taken those photos you were always planning on taking, you don’t know what to do with them! These photos can serve as beautiful memories from a time passed or as a souvenir if they were taken on a trip.
Whatever they may represent, it is a fact they need to be out on the open and displayed rather than hidden away in some dusty cupboard or stowed in a folder somewhere. Here are some creative ideas you can use to display your family pictures.
1. Put them in a frame
This may be the simplest and most obvious of them all. Buy some fancy frames and get your pictures printed in various sizes to install in them. If you are more of a DIY kind of person, get your family together and make your own frames out of ice cream sticks. If you are feeling more ambitious, get in the mood for some woodworking! Dig deep enough on the web and you can find that any material can be molded to get you the perfect home-made picture frame.
2. Get some fridge magnets made
Many online pages and print shops now make magnets out of your photos to display on your fridge. You can get all sorts of photographs that are important to your family printed on magnetized paper and arrange them on the refrigerator door.
Every time one of you goes to the fridge for a snack, they will find themselves smiling at the memories. Be warned, each person in the family is going to fancy the arrangement differently; you may find the pictures organized in a unique way every time you look!
3. Display them on a softboard
If you don’t already have one, getting a softboard for your kids’ rooms or the living room area is a great idea. It can be the ideal place to pin pictures, notes, to-do lists, and messages for each other. Not only family pictures, but drawings and artwork your children come up with can also be displayed for your pride and joy.
4. Blow them up to size!
What is better than displaying photos in a frame? Display them on the wall! Get your favorite picture from the shoot blown up to the largest size your walls can take and make either a poster or a large photo display out of them.
Remember, the bigger the picture, the larger all the imperfections are going to look. This is why it is advisable to get your photos professionally taken and edited to leave no room for inconsistencies when your larger than life portrait is hanging up on the wall for all to see!
